As the project focused on the integration of a pre-determined circuit, the main purpose of this project was to challenge the designer to create a product that highlighted key points in assembly, disassembly and battery access. Initial focus set on perfecting the internals of the product and how the PCB would sit inside a casing.
The final design came into development whilst looking at products that were doing well on the market and then researching tangible methods of redesigning and combining their sought-after specifications. Products by companies such as XBUTY, WOOPOWER and Pavilion Lighting highlight ease of installation and minimised maintenance over-time as their key aspects; they also state 'manufacturing quality products' and offer a 'diverse selection of tastes', said by WOOPOWER and Pavilion Lighting respectively. With work on Proteus, a PCB was created to fit my design - which due to the casing's circular shape; I believed that a compact semi-circle would it within my casing walls efficiently whilst blocking out the smallest amount of light compared to other designs. Proteus ensured that my PCB was as compact as possible whilst maintaining my quality touch for an ordered and methodical looking finish. The design began with the choice of a programme: INPUT TIME BEEN OUTPUT
